Our Story
Marcus Thompson started Volt Electric Services in 2011 after spending 15 years working for large electrical contractors in the Phoenix area. He saw homeowners routinely overcharged for simple work, given vague estimates that ballooned after the job started, and left wondering whether the work was actually done to code.
Volt launched with one truck and one rule: the price we quote is the price you pay. No hourly billing that punishes the customer for careful work. No change orders for “unexpected” conditions that any experienced electrician should have anticipated. Just honest assessment, clear pricing, and work that passes inspection the first time.
That approach earned word-of-mouth referrals across Scottsdale, Tempe, and Chandler — and within three years Marcus was hiring his first employees. Today, Volt employs eight licensed electricians serving all of Greater Phoenix. We’ve completed over 5,000 jobs, maintained a 4.9-star Google rating, and never once changed a price after starting work.
Every electrician on our team holds an Arizona ROC license, has passed a full background check, and completes continuing education annually. We pull permits on every job that requires one, and we guarantee our work passes city inspection on the first visit.
