About the Treatment
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gels, primarily made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that occurs naturally in your skin. When strategically placed beneath the surface, they restore lost volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial contours.
As we age, we lose approximately 1% of our facial collagen each year after age 25. This leads to hollow cheeks, thinning lips, deeper smile lines, and a less defined jawline. Fillers address all of these concerns with immediate, natural-looking results.

What to Expect
Consultation & Mapping
We analyze your facial proportions, assess volume loss, and use digital imaging to map your ideal treatment plan. You'll know exactly what to expect before we begin.
Numbing
A topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area for 15–20 minutes. Most modern fillers also contain lidocaine, providing additional comfort during injection.
Injection
Using cannulas or fine needles, your provider places filler precisely where it's needed. The session takes 30–45 minutes depending on the areas treated.
Recovery
Mild swelling and potential bruising are normal for 1–3 days. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Most patients return to normal activities immediately.

Results & Recovery
Results are visible right away. You'll see improved volume and contour, though some swelling will be present.
Mild swelling and possible bruising. Lips tend to swell more than other areas. Arnica supplements and ice help minimize bruising.
Swelling has fully resolved. This is when you see your true results. We schedule a follow-up to assess and make any touch-up adjustments.
Duration depends on the product and area. Lip fillers typically last 6–9 months; cheek and jawline fillers last 12–24 months.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the product and area. Lip fillers typically last 6–9 months. Cheek fillers last 12–18 months. Jawline fillers can last up to 2 years. Factors like metabolism, area treated, and product choice all play a role.
Yes — hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, RHA) can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This is one of the key safety advantages of HA fillers. Results can be reversed partially or completely if needed.
Absolutely. In fact, combining treatments is often the most effective approach. Botox relaxes the muscles causing dynamic wrinkles, while fillers restore volume and smooth static lines. We frequently perform both in one visit.
We carry the full Juvederm collection (Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, Volux), Restylane (Lyft, Contour, Kysse, Defyne, Refyne), and RHA fillers. Each has unique properties suited to different areas. We select the ideal product based on your anatomy and goals.
This varies significantly by individual and treatment goals. Lip enhancement typically requires 1 syringe. Cheek augmentation usually needs 1–2 syringes per side. A comprehensive full-face rejuvenation may use 4–8 syringes. We'll provide an exact recommendation during your consultation.
