Medical-grade facials and chemical peels

Skin Health

Facials & Peels

Medical-grade treatments that go beyond the surface. Reveal clearer, brighter, healthier skin.

About the Treatments

Beyond the Day Spa

Medical-grade facials and chemical peels are clinical skin treatments performed under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. Unlike spa facials, these use pharmaceutical-strength active ingredients and professional-only technologies to produce measurable changes in skin quality, texture, and tone.

At Lumière, our signature HydraFacial uses patented Vortex-Fusion technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate simultaneously — delivering antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid deep into the skin. Our chemical peels range from gentle lunchtime treatments to transformative medium-depth peels that address acne scarring, melasma, and photodamage.

Your Visit

What to Expect

1

Skin Analysis

We examine your skin under magnification and UV light to identify concerns invisible to the naked eye — dehydration, sun damage, congestion, and early signs of aging.

2

Cleanse & Prep

A double-cleanse protocol removes surface impurities and makeup residue. For peels, a degreasing agent ensures even penetration of the active solution.

3

Treatment

Your customized facial or peel is performed. HydraFacials take 30–45 minutes; chemical peels 15–30 minutes depending on depth. Comfort is monitored throughout.

4

Aftercare

We apply medical-grade serums, SPF, and provide take-home instructions tailored to your specific treatment. Peel patients receive a detailed recovery timeline.

Timeline

Results & Recovery

Immediately

After a HydraFacial or light peel, your skin will appear brighter and feel smoother right away. Mild redness fades within a few hours. Many patients schedule these before events.

Days 1–3

For medium-depth peels like VI Peel, skin may feel tight and begin to darken slightly as the controlled exfoliation begins. This is normal and expected.

Days 4–7

Visible peeling occurs with medium peels. The old, damaged skin sheds to reveal fresh, new skin underneath. Avoid picking or pulling at peeling skin.

Week 2

Post-peel skin is fully renewed. You'll notice significantly improved texture, tone, and clarity. Strict sun protection is essential during this period.

Months 1–3

With a series of treatments, cumulative results become dramatic. Collagen production continues improving skin quality for months after treatment.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

For optimal results, we recommend medical-grade facials every 4–6 weeks, aligned with your skin's natural cell turnover cycle. Chemical peels are typically spaced 4–8 weeks apart depending on depth. Your provider will create a customized schedule based on your skin goals.

HydraFacials use vortex suction and hydrating serums for deep cleansing with zero downtime — you leave glowing. Chemical peels use controlled acid solutions to trigger deeper skin renewal, which means more dramatic results but 3–7 days of peeling depending on the depth. They complement each other beautifully in a treatment plan.

Superficial peels (like lactic or light glycolic) cause minimal visible peeling — often just slight flaking for 1–2 days. Medium-depth peels (TCA, VI Peel) produce more noticeable peeling for 5–7 days. We'll discuss the social downtime for your specific peel so you can plan accordingly.

Absolutely. We customize every treatment for your skin type and sensitivity level. For sensitive skin, we use gentler formulations, shorter contact times, and soothing post-treatment protocols. The VI Peel Precision Plus, for example, is specifically formulated for sensitive and darker skin tones.

Discontinue retinoids 5–7 days before your peel, and avoid exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) for 3 days prior. Don't wax the treatment area for at least a week before. We'll provide a complete pre-treatment checklist when you schedule your appointment.
