Laser Skin Resurfacing

Reveal fresh, luminous skin with advanced fractional laser technology that rebuilds collagen from within.

About the Treatment

What Is Laser Resurfacing?

Laser skin resurfacing uses concentrated beams of light to remove damaged skin layer by layer with extraordinary precision. Our fractional CO2 and erbium lasers create thousands of microscopic treatment zones, triggering your body's natural healing response and stimulating deep collagen remodeling.

Unlike older ablative lasers that treated 100% of the surface, fractional technology treats only a fraction of the skin in each session, leaving surrounding tissue intact to accelerate healing. The result: dramatically improved skin quality with significantly less downtime.

Your Visit

What to Expect

1

Skin Assessment

We evaluate your skin type, tone, and concerns using advanced imaging. We'll determine the optimal laser settings and create a customized treatment protocol.

2

Numbing & Prep

A topical anesthetic is applied 30 minutes prior to treatment. Your eyes are protected with specialized shields. The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed.

3

Laser Treatment

The laser delivers precise fractional columns of energy into the skin. Treatment takes 20–45 minutes for a full face. You'll feel warmth and a snapping sensation.

4

Recovery Protocol

A cooling mask and medical-grade moisturizer are applied. We provide a detailed aftercare kit with everything you need for optimal healing.

Timeline

Results & Recovery

Days 1–3

Skin appears red and feels like a sunburn. Mild swelling is normal, particularly around the eyes. Apply prescribed ointments and keep skin moisturized.

Days 4–7

Skin begins to peel, revealing fresh pink skin underneath. Do not pick or pull at peeling skin. Continue gentle cleansing and moisturizing.

Weeks 2–4

Redness gradually fades. Makeup can typically be applied after day 7–10. Most patients return to work by day 5–7. Mineral sunscreen is mandatory.

Months 1–3

Progressive improvement in texture, tone, and firmness. Collagen remodeling is actively underway. Many patients notice dramatic improvement at this stage.

Months 3–12

Continued collagen production and skin tightening. Full results are typically seen at 3–6 months, with improvements continuing for up to a year after treatment.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

For mild concerns (texture, mild sun damage), 1–2 sessions may suffice. Moderate to severe sun damage, deep wrinkles, or acne scarring typically require 3–5 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. We'll create a personalized plan during your consultation.

We generally recommend scheduling aggressive laser treatments during fall and winter when sun exposure is minimal. However, lighter treatments like IPL can be performed year-round with diligent sun protection. Sun avoidance before and after treatment is critical for preventing complications.

With proper topical numbing, most patients rate the discomfort as a 3–4 out of 10. It feels like warm snapping against the skin. Aggressive CO2 treatments may require additional comfort measures. Post-treatment, the skin feels similar to a moderate sunburn for 24–48 hours.

Certain lasers are safe and effective for all skin types, including Fitzpatrick types IV–VI. We use specific wavelengths and settings optimized for melanin-rich skin. During your consultation, we'll assess your skin type and recommend the safest, most effective approach.

Both stimulate collagen production, but lasers deliver more dramatic results per session. Microneedling has less downtime and is safe for all skin types. For significant sun damage or deep scarring, laser is typically more effective. We often combine both in a comprehensive treatment plan.
