Lawn Care Programs
Mowing, fertilization, weed control, aeration, and overseeding — turf management designed for the Piedmont.
A great lawn doesn't happen by accident — it requires the right products, proper timing, and consistent execution. Greenstone's lawn care programs are built specifically for Triangle turf: fescue, bermuda, and zoysia each need different treatment schedules, mowing heights, and fertilization plans. We manage the science so you enjoy the results.
Mowing Programs
Weekly mowing during the growing season with sharp blades set to the optimal height for your grass type. We bag or mulch based on your preference, edge all bed lines and walkways, and blow clean every visit. Bi-weekly service available for lower-maintenance properties.
Fertilization & Weed Control
6-round annual fertilization program timed to your turf type's growth cycle. Pre-emergent crabgrass control in early spring, broadleaf weed treatments, and fall winterizer applications. We use professional-grade, slow-release formulations that won't burn your lawn.
Aeration & Overseeding
Core aeration in fall (fescue) or spring (warm-season grasses) to relieve soil compaction and improve root growth. Overseeding with premium fescue blends fills thin spots and improves density. This is the single most impactful service for fescue lawns.
Grub & Pest Control
Preventive grub control applied in late spring protects against Japanese beetle larvae that destroy turf roots. We also treat for armyworms, fire ants, and other lawn-damaging pests as needed.
Soil Testing & Amendments
We start every new lawn care client with a soil test through NC State's soil lab. Results tell us exactly what your soil needs — lime to correct pH, specific nutrient ratios, and organic matter levels. No guessing, no over-applying.
Fescue in Piedmont Heat
Tall fescue is the dominant lawn grass in the Triangle but struggles in summer heat. Our program focuses on deep fall root development, proper mowing height (3.5–4 inches), and irrigation timing to carry fescue through July and August stress.
Transparent Pricing
Lawn care programs range from $150 to $400 per month depending on property size and service level. Basic mowing starts at $150/month for properties under 8,000 sq ft. Full-service programs including mowing, fertilization, weed control, and seasonal aeration run $250–$400/month. Annual contracts save 10% over month-to-month pricing.
